William R. Lynch, M.D.

As a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with more than 40 years of experience, I specialize in helping high-functioning adults with ADHD develop strategies to manage their lives more effectively—without sacrificing mental health or self-respect.

I work with professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and creatives who are intelligent and motivated, but who struggle with chronic disorganization, poor time management, emotional overwhelm, or inconsistent performance. Many of them have spent years masking their ADHD symptoms, often at the cost of stress, burnout, or self-doubt.

My treatment approach is uniquely suited to adults with ADHD: I combine current, evidence-based ADHD medication management with individualized executive function coaching and insight-oriented psychotherapy. This three-part approach allows us to address both the neurobiological and emotional aspects of ADHD—improving attention, reducing impulsivity, and creating sustainable systems for focus, planning, and follow-through.

I believe true productivity begins with self-understanding and a calm acceptance of personal limits. From there, we work together to build realistic organizational strategies that fit your lifestyle and support your long-term goals.

I earned my M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, completed my psychiatric residency at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital, and pursued psychoanalytic training at the Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute. I’ve taught psychiatry at both UT Southwestern and Rush Medical College and have worked in diverse clinical settings—from private practice to inpatient psychiatry and correctional mental health.

If you’re ready to stop struggling in silence and build a life that works with your brain, I’m here to help.
